Community building
For nearly a decade, CWA has been creating online knowledge networks and learning communities, and we know about the mix of facilitation and showbiz that is needed to engage community members and keep them on track. With greater bandwidth, faster multimedia enabled computers, and the growth of mobile technologies, we can now imagine community building in a completely new way.
We understand the methodologies that underpin "purposeful communities" – our term for communities which support engaged and relevant interaction.
Our team includes e-community facilitators, teachers, courseware and resource producers, and pedagogy experts. We also have experts in te reo Māori and Pasifika. Through the communities we have created, we are interacting daily with teachers, learners, parents, community members, researchers, academics, scientists, technologists and more. For example, we are facilitating e-communities such as Studyit and wickED through which young people are enabled to communicate with their peers to share knowledge and information.
CEE: Collaborative Enterprise Environment
Our Collaborative Enterprise Environment (CEE) includes tools which can be mixed and matched to best fit the needs of our clients and their online environments.
Our bilingual Metadata Management Suite (CWA's MMS) and accompanying search and discovery service completes the picture. Together these enable online people networks to form, and quality online resources to be accessible to them.
